Lou Cutler was born and raised in Northern New Jersey right outside New York City. He currently lives in West Philadelphia.

Lou got his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Rutgers University. He had an amazing experience in 2004 when he slept in the desert for 2 months during a trip to Kenya, East Africa where he was doing archaeology and paleoanthropology. After spending years working at his familys pallet and lumber business he went on to grad school for acupuncture.

​He is now a licensed acupuncturist. He is very interested in certain aspects of psychology and human systems, specifically interpersonal communication and group dynamics.. He is also a chronic lyme fighter and survivor. Lou is most passionate about his hobbies.

Some of them include weightlifting, rollerblading, music, food, cats, cars, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and photography. This year he taught himself to play the drums and ukelele. He also loves to have his picture taken!

This past summer Lou went on to be the first out trans man in history to win the Mr. Gay Philadelphia competition. He's been featured in the Advocate twice, as well as other magazines and newspapers after his win when the story quickly went viral worldwide.
