Transition Radio Industries September 2012
I am 47 years old trans woman who started transitioning in Jan 2014 and although I knew since I was 6 years of age and felt that I was born in the wrong body. In July 2014 I came out to my wife and mother, my wife could not accept my transition and we were divorced Sept 2014.

I was suicidal, drinking a lot and tried to kill my self, luckily I failed and knew things had to change so I started hormones Oct 2014 to transition from a man to a women. In March 2015 I came out to friends, family and work, I did lose some people and some of them came back 1.5 years later. In June 2015 I broke two ribs by tripping on a dog gate, two weeks later I had pneumonia and a week later my ribs punctured my lungs, I had to have emergency surgery in which I lost 4 liters of blood and died on the table.

I came back to life and the surgeon had to put titanium plates to repair my injuries. Since then I started doing hair removal of the face, legs, breast and nipples, thankfully I was never very hairy.

Once I told all my clients friends and relatives it was time to start dressing full time, even at work. I did change my name from my birth name Carl Vaneyssen to Shelby Vaneyssen Kendall, I gave away all my guy clothes to the homeless and only wear female clothes whether I am perceived as a man or women. I did breast augmentaton as well as some facial feminization surgery and a butt lift ion April 28 2015. Now it is time to go full time, I am doing srs this year and more facial and hair line surgery. I am the happiest I have ever been.

I currently volunteer at sun serve a local lgbt center and help transgender men and women change there name in the courts and have applied to help transgender youths in the school system and from time to time go on radio shows to educate others on trans issues. Today my mom is so supportive as it took her a year to accept and my father passed away before I could tell them, I understand that people have to transition with you and hope one day me and my ex can be friends
